3.5 earthquake felt across San Fernando Valley


An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 was recorded Friday night near Ventura, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake, at 10:21 p.m., was centered in the hills northeast of Santa Paula. Responses to the USGS Did You Feel It site indicate it was felt from the Ventura County coast across the San Fernando Valley.

It was the strongest earthquake in Ventura County since a 3.6 on Sept. 13 near Thousand Oaks.
