Amazon Alexa, mood lighting, speakers: Kohler’s Numi 2.0 smart toilet has it all

Your bedrooms and kitchens are getting smarter, why not your bathroom? We all know having smart lights and speakers in your bathrooms doesn’t really count. But what if there is a product that checks all boxes to be considered as smart and is made only for your bathroom. Kohler’s Numi 2.0 smart toilet has Alexa support, speakers, LED lights and more.

Kohler’s Numi 2.0 is priced at $11,500 (approximately Rs 9,25,000) and is not available in India. It was first showcased at CES 2019 and is now available to be fitted inside bathrooms in the US.

Kohler’s Numi 2.0 has everything one could wish for, and more, in a toilet. You don’t have to carry your phone in your bathroom as it has speakers, support for Amazon Alexa, a heated seat, hands-free closing and opening, a remote that works along with the KOHLER Konnect app, and LED lights.

Listen to songs, or hear the latest news while you do your business. Too cold to use the toilet seat? Warm it before you are ready to shoot. There is also an auto-deodorising mode so your toilet will always feel fresh. There is also a height-adjustment feature so that old customers have no issues while using it. There is also an auto dryer.
Moreover, you get an emergency flush that supports up to 100 flushes during power outage with touch-button activation. You also get Power-Save mode that monitors usage and adjusts heated seat settings to save energy. All these features are controlled by a remote that can be fitted on the wall beside your toilet for easy operations.
Amazon recently announced 17 products that are now Matter compatible and there is no word on such support for the commode. So it is unclear what the Alexa support can do. It probably has similar functionalities like other Alexa devices.
