Anwar, at last Malaysia’s PM, aims to turn ‘hope’ into reality

KUALA LUMPUR — In 1997, Anwar Ibrahim made the cover of Time magazine, which hailed him as the face of “the future of Asia.”

The future finally arrived this week — a turbulent quarter of a century later — when Anwar was appointed Malaysia’s 10th prime minister after his fourth attempt to win the job.
