The Brazilian Federal Police (PF) suspended this Saturday (19) the issuance of Brazilian passports due to lack of funds. However, the agency clarified that the production of emergency documents will be maintained.
Still according to the agency, there is no forecast for the resumption of the issuance of ordinary passports, although the PF is “closely monitoring the situation with the Federal Government for the complete reestablishment of the service,” it informed in a note.
Citizens assisted at issuing points until November 18 will receive passports normally. Those who had appointments scheduled for later dates will be received at the PF . . .
