Got COVID questions? Emanate Health to hold ‘Ask the Doctor’ virtual town hall – Daily News

Emanate Health, which owns Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, on Friday afternoon, Jan. 7, will play host to a virtual town hall meeting to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and field questions from residents.

Several medical experts will examine the growing number of cases particularly pertaining to the San Gabriel Valley. It’s a special edition of the organization’s “Ask the Doctor” series.

It will run from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

“Public health officials say that daily COVID-19 cases could reach one million a day across the United States in early January as the highly infectious omicron variant continues to spread,” Emanate Health CEO Robert H. Curry said, in a statement. “We are ready to share the latest science-based information with the general public, as well as elected officials, civic leaders and school officials, to help keep our families and communities safe and informed.”

Emanate Health chief medical officer Gurjeet Kalkat, MD, will serve as moderator. Panelists will include Deepthi Jayasekara, MD — Chair of Emanate Health Infection Control — and Loucine Kasparian, Director of the Infection Control Department.
