An overseas Filipino worker from Dubai gave birth onboard an Emirates plane on Saturday a few hours away from touchdown at Clark International Airport (CRK).
CRK operator Luzon International Premiere Airport Development reported that Lalaine Edip was assisted by two passengers who claimed to have nursing degrees and knowledge about the procedure.
The baby was delivered around 1:50 p.m. while flight EK324 landed 3:45 p.m. Mother and child went straight to a hospital, assisted by Bureau of Quarantine and the Clark emergency personnel.
One of the passengers who assisted Edip was with her daughter. They came from India where the child underwent a liver transplant operation to cure her biliary atresia.
