SIZINDA’s up-and-coming gospel group, Conquerors in Christ have released their debut album titled NaJesu Ndakakwana.
The album which is being sold around Bulawayo has tracks, Rumbidzwai Jehovah, Matende, Munazvo, Ndine Mukuru, Taura Neni, Iye Munhu, Ndakakwana and Hymn 195 (RCZ).
The album was successfully launched on Sunday at Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) in Sizinda with attendees having been invited in line with Covid-19 regulations.
The event was graced by pastors from RCZ Bulawayo Presbytery and had supporting artistes that included Larell Hamura from RCZ Gwanda and the Mutemeri voices from Methodist Church in Zimbabwe.
Conquerors in Christ has members, the leader Eunice Chinyama, Tendai Rusenga, Atalia Matsveru, Winfield Tarasika, Talent Chiwara, Tafara Chikuni, Raymond Munyanyiri and Tadiwa Matenda.
Speaking after the launch, Chinyama who is a teacher at Maphisa Primary School in Sizinda, said the album is a start of great things as they want to spread the gospel of the Lord through music.
“With this debut album, we want to serve the Lord through the music ministry. We also want to release more meaningful songs in English, Ndebele and Shona with God’s message to the people.”
Added Chinyama: “We ventured into professional music because of the zeal we had to help spread the news about Christ and to make the word of God easily accessible.” – @mthabisi_mthire
