Swift partners with Peloton for classes

Peloton knows All Too Well how ready you are to bop along to Taylor Swift.

The exercise company, known best for its stationary bike and energetic class leaders, has partnered with US pop star Taylor Swift to licence her songs for its classes.

The songs, which will back bike, swimming, yoga classes and more, will come from Red (Taylor’s Version), Swift’s rerecorded version of her 2012 album.

“All of the heartbreak. All of the hope. All of the classes, Red (Taylor’s Version),” Peloton said in a statement.

Peloton has been running special classes through its Artist Series for several years, but has ramped up the frequency in 2021. Other themed soundtracks include Britney Spears, ABBA, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Prince and the Spice Girls.

Red (Taylor’s Version) has sold more than two million copies globally since its November release and recorded more than 90 million opening-day streams on Spotify.

Beyond the rerecorded songs from the original album, the new version includes collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers, Chris Stapleton and Ed Sheeran, as well as the long-rumoured 10-minute version of All Too Well.

In an effort to regain control of her own masters, Swift has been steadily rerecording all of her old albums currently owned by the hedge fund that bought them from her former manager, Scooter Braun.
